I, Abram Simon of the County of Barbour & State of West Virginia, make and declare this my
last Will and Testament revoking all others.
First, I commit my sole (sic) to God, Who gave it, and my boddy (sic) - the earth to be deacently
burryed (sic), by my Exexcutors.
Secondly, I devise all my just debts including my funeral expenses paid, and the remainder of my
estate I give and bequeath as follows to wit:
To my wife Mary, I give and bequeath all my household and kitchen furniture, also One brown
horse, One Sorrel mare and One dun mare that I know (sic) have on my farm and also my waggon
(sic) and harness also four Cows that is on my farm.
I give and bequeath to my son Allen Simon the farm that he now lives on containing One hundred
and twenty Seven acres.
I give and bequeath to my son Andrew Simon my farm that Filo Tenney lives on known as the
Hawkins and Reed farm, containing One hundred and ten acres.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Talbott Fifteen hundred dollars in money.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Virginia fifteen hundred dollars including five hundred dollars
that she has received.
I give and bequeath to my two sons, James Simon and Lewis Simon my farm, that I now live on
my home farm. I desire that my home farm or my sons James & Lewis shall have the privilege of
rail timber of the farm that I give to my son Andrew Simon to the amount of ten or twelve
thousand rails to make repairs to the fencing on the home farm. Further I give and bequeath to
my son James Simon one dun mare known as the flag tail dun.
Lastly, to carry into effect the various provisions of this my last will and testament I hereby
constitute and appoint as my executor my son-in-law, William Talbott in testimony thereof I do
hereunto set my hand and Seal this 3" day of Nov 1865.
Signed, Sealed, and Acknowledged by Abram Simon as and for his last will and testament in
presents (sic) of us who at his request have subscribed our names as witnesses.

State of West Virginia:
Barbour County in the Recorders office thereof on the 11th day of December 1865.
The last Will and testament of Abram Simon Deceased was this day presented in Said
office and proved by the oaths of R.B. Stewart and William T. Chrislip two of the subscribing
witnesses thereto and is admitted to record.
