Last Will of John Harris
I John Harris, a resident and farmer of the County of Barbour and State
of West Virginia make this my last will. I give, devise, and bequeath my
personal estate and property as follows. That is to say, I give to
Margaret Harris, my wife, my bed and all of our clothing. One chest, one
side saddle, one copper kettle, one small pot and dishes. Two sheep, and
one spinning wheel, and one hundred and ten dollars in money. I give to
Isaac Harris, one old wagon, and to Sarah Fitzwater, one cupboard, one
cover, and one iron kettle and pot. I give to Job E. Harris heirs, one
dollar and to Simon Harris heirs one dollar. The residue if there be any
found, to be equally divided among my five children now living. That is
to say, Isaac Harris, Noah Harris, Jackson Harris, Sarah Fitzwater,
Wyatt Harris. I appoint Gilbert S. Hymes, a farmer and resident of the
County and State aforesaid, Executor of this my will in witness whereof
I have signed and sealed and published and declared this instrument as
my will at place aforesaid on this the 13th day of December 1875.

The said John Harris at his residence and in the County and State
aforesaid, and on the day aforesaid, signed and sealed this instrument
and published and declared the same as and for his last will and we at
his request and in his presents and in the presents of each other have
herein to wit, pen our names as subscribing witnesses.

The last will and testament of John Harris, deceased, was this day
presented in said court and ? ? by the oaths of Levi Moore and Elmore B.
