Asks that grandson, Wesley, be bound to Stephen
Hall or some other good man. Only $1 to some children. Equal shares to grandsons
and other children.
The above will was found in a book on Barbour County Wills in the Houston
Genealogical Library. I apologize that I have lost the source information
The will was for John Jett (1786-1864), son of William Jett, married to
Sarah "Sally" Smith (1789-1864). Their sons, William and John moved west
to Ritchie and Roane Counties VA/WV, becoming pioneers in Otterslide area
John (1786-1864) was my 4th great grandfather.
