Madison: Hazel Lottie Carder, 93, died Saturday, Jan 12, 2002, at the Inn-Madison Health Center. Mrs. Carder was born May 17, 1908, in Barbour County, W. Va., the daughter of John and Lenora (Thompson) Heatherly. She was a Madison resident since 1953 and worked in tire cord manufacturing at IRC Fibers. She often volunteered at senior citizen functions. Survivors Include two daughters, Lenora Murphy of Martinsburg, W. Va., and Anita Nestor of Madison: two sons, Cody of Thompson and Jim of Hayleville, Ala.: 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband, Ralph Carder, in 1973; her daughter, Mary Sements, in 1994; her son, Ronald in 1988; seven sisters, Vannie Calahan, Vaughn Freeman, Alice McCauley and Blondie, Lucille, Agnes, and Georgia Heatherly; and two brothers, Frank and Clarence Heatherly. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River st., Madison. Burial will Be at Madison Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. William Alvey of Park United Methodist Church, Madison, will officiate. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
