Funeral services for Leolon Sturm 80y retired farmer, who died Monday at his home on High Street were held at 2:00 p.m. yesterday at the residence of a son, Winfred D. Sturm, 128 South Walnut Street
Rites were in charge of the Rev. C.C. Perkins, of Grim Memorial Methodist Church, with burial in Silent Grove Cemetery, three miles south of Philippi.
Mr Sturm had been in poor health since January of this year, following a fall in Ice near his home. He was born Jun 15, 1860, at Rock Ford, Barbour County a son of Henry and Jane Ryan Sturm. He lived at Rock Ford until 1935 when he moved to Philippi.
On November 24, 1118, he married Monzella Alice Upton, who died November 1837 Surviving are two sons Coy, of Akron, Ohioand Winfred D. of Philippi; one daughter Lucinda Chapman, of Philippi nine grandchildren; one brother George Monroe of RT#5 Philippi one sister Mrs. Nettie Bolyard, whom she made her home
Mr. Sturm was a member of the Rock Ford Church, having joined when a boy.
