Chestnut Ridge Community Puts on Play
[1938] The young people of Chestnut Ridge
put on a play last Thursday night, at the regular meeting of the Community Council
that was as well acted as you usually see plays of that type anywhere. The cast
for the play called "The Family Meets the Wife", was as follows: The Mother, Mrs.
Rosalee MAYLE; The sisters, Miss Violet POE and Miss Opal POE. A cousin, Miss
Josephine MAYLE; The son, Mr. Audward ADAMS; The wife, Miss Lenora ADAMS. The play
was given to a crowded house. Other numbers on the program consisted of tap
dancing and songs, also a discussion of the problems of the community by the older
folks. These young folk have a lot of natural talent for this kind of work, and it
should be developed.
