Colored 4-H Camp
[about 1940]
The second annual camp for colored Four-H clubs in Barbour County will be held
Monday to Thursday. The camp is to be sponsored by the Farm Security
Administration, which was instrumental in organizing most of the colored clubs in
the county. L. Glenn ZINN, FSA farm supervisor, will direct the camp, assisted by
Mrs. ZINN. A state Four-H leader also is expected. Homer HOWELL will be director
of recreation, and Sam CROSTON, swimming instruction. About thirty members of the
Chestnut Ridge, Galloway, Minard Hollow and Sutton clubs are expected to attend
the camp.
