Obituary: Currence Funeral Is Held at Home
Parsons, May 10, 1940 Funeral services for a member of one of the oldest families in this section
of the country, Mrs. Zella Mae CURRENCE, 68, were held today at the home in East
Parson. She died yesterday at the residence after a long illness. She was born
March 15, 1872, in Randolph county, a daughter of Jess and Martha PENNINGTON.
Surviving are her husband, Jack CURRENCE, whom she married in 1888; one son, Lee
CURRENCE, of Parsons; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
