Mrs. Ira Lambert Badly Injured

Mrs. Zella LAMBERT, wife of Ira LAMBERT, of near Belington, was badly hurt last
Saturday afternoon when she was hit by a car driven by Pearl CROSS, son of Joseph
CROSS, of Hunter's Fork as she and some friends were walking on route 92. Mrs.
LAMBERT is a patient in an Elkins hospital. State Trooper W.L. PRATT arrested
CROSS for driving drunk and he was fined $25 and costs, the car, impounded for six
months and his license revoked for six months. Tilden STURMS, owner of the car
which CROSS was driving, was charged with permitting the operation of his car by a
person intoxicated and was fined $25 and costs, license revoked six months and car
impounded for six months. The trial was held on Monday before J. A. VIQUESNEY,
justice of the peace at Belington.
