(Early Birth, Death, & Marriage records are few and far between
as WV did not enforce county record keeping until 1904.)

MARRIAGES FROM 1797-1900 in Brooke Co., VA/WV are indexed by the Groom's surname.
Use "Find in Page" on your browser for the Wives' Maiden Name.

WILLS - 1797 to the present
LAND DEEDS - 1797 to the present
(The charge is $1.50 each for the first two pages of a deed,
and $1.00 per page thereafter.)

There is also an interesting and early deed book regarding
Brooke Co., VA land that once belonged to Ohio Co., VA
predating 1797. It is entitled:
"Land Deeds of Ohio County, VA Pertaining to Brooke Co., VA(WV)".

And consider this little known Courthouse Book(s) for early land owners:
"Record Book of Surveys Made in Youghogania Co, VA 1780,
by William Crawford, Surveyor"
(One copy is handwritten with drawn maps of surveyed deeds,
the other is typewritten for easy reading.)
