Amos Boner

Revised note from Linda Fluharty & Gerald Bills: Amos Bunner, circa 5/22/1846 - 4/20/1925, was NOT the Civil War Veteran of that name who served in the 10th and 11th West Virginia Infantries. However, his father, Robert, age 44, did serve in the war with Robert's younger brother, Amos, and other relatives. See AMOS BONER, THE SOLDIER. - Although it is possible that this younger Amos Boner, son of Robert & Mary, is buried at Freed Cemetery, Calhoun County, as some claim, he probably isn't. According to his death certificate, he was living with his daughter, Arline Leatta Lamp, in Hebron, Pleasants County, WV, when he died. The record also states that he was buried at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Pleasants County. Arline's funeral home record in Pleasants County give the name of Amos as her father and Mollie Freed (i.e. Mary) as her mother.
