Will Book I, page 70

     In the name of God Amen. I Given Lynch of Jesse's Run in the county of Calhoun in the state of West Virginia being of sound mind and disposing memory make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. First I hereby give and devise all my real estate consisting of about one hundred and fourteen acres of land on Jesse's run in the said county to my two sons namely Rufus and Benjamin and my daughter Roxaland to be equally divided between them. Second, I give and bequeath unto my son Benjamin one hundred dollars and to my daughter Nancy Bell fifty Dollars out of the proceeds of the sale of my personal property. Third, It is my desire that should my wife Anna out live me to have and use and enjoy the real estate herein before mentioned taking therefrom her support and maintenance during her life. Fourth, At the death of my wife Anna - should she outlive me that the personal property owned by me, be then sold and divided as above stated. Fifth I hereby nominate and appoint my friend J. L. Arnold of Roane County executor of this my last will and testament whom I request to carry out the provisions of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and affix my seal to this my last will and testament this 3d day of May 1884 at the clerk's office of the court of Calhoun county in the said state.

     Signed, sealed published and declared by Given Lynch the testator at the clerk's office of the courts of Calhoun County in the state of West Virginia this 3d day of May 1884 in our presence and we at his request and in his presence of each other hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses thereto.
