     In the name of God Amen. I, Martin V. Sturm of Pine Creek Calhoun County and State of West Va. being of sound mind and memory do hereby make publish and declair this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. First I order and direct my executor as soon after my decease as practicable to pay off and discharge all the honest debts, dues and liabilities that may exist against me at the time of my decease. Second I give and bequath unto my wife Magdalalana Stermes all my property both personal and real. that is to say one Steam grist and saw mill and 40 acres of land on the watters of Pine Creek in the county of Calhoun State of WVa the said land being a part of a tract of purchased by one Sargit(?) of A. Ball, land lying on or near the road that croses the hill from Pine Creek to Philips run and all notes accounts dues and demants and two cows one mule one yearling colt two sheep. Six head of hogs one Smut(?) mill which is now at Grantsville in Calhoun County WVa and two riffle guns together with all household and kitchen furnature that I now own, I have intentionly left my children without legacy. Fourth I hereby nominate and apoint my wife Magdalana Stermes as my administrator or administratrix. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this tenth day of March 1879.

The above and foregoing instrument was at the date thereof signed sealed and published and declared by the said Martin V. Stermes as and for his last will and testament in presence of us, who, at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

State of West Virginia Calhoun County Court Clerks Office April 5, 1879. A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Martin V. Sturm deceased who had a known place of residence in Calhoun County wherein he died, was this day presented for probate to the undersigned clerk of the county court in his office in vacation of said court by Magdalana Sturm the administratrix therein named. And thereupon Granville Johnson and Allen Stalnaker two of the subscribing witnesses thereto after being duly sworn proved that at the time of the execution of the said will the said Martin V. Sturm the testator was of sound mind and disposing memory and over the age of twenty one years. That he signed the said will in their presence and published and declared the same as and for his last will and testament, and that they at the same time, and at his request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other subscribed the said will as witnesses. Whereupon the said will is hereby duly admitted to probate as the true last will and testament of the said M. V. Sturm deceased. And thereupon Magdalana Sturm the administratrix, and together with Allen Stalnaker her security entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of one thousand dollars, conditioned as the law directs. And on the Motion of the said Magdalana Sturm, it is ordered that Levi Gainer, Jesse C. Gainer, Eppa Hathaway and Allen Stalnaker be and they are hereby appointed appraisers of the estate of the said Martin V. Sturm deceased.
