Ashley-Collison Cemetery

Ashley-Collison Cemetery off Villa Nova Ridge going out of Duck, WV
Back in the 1920's when my grandparents rented this farm it was called
the Ashley Place. It is now (1996) owned by a Mr. Cantrell. The cemetery
is located about a mile from the mail road in a field past the Cantrell
house in a grove of cedar trees. If you walk past the Cem. you will be
looking down on state Rt. 4 leading from Clay to Gassaway.
There are several unmarked graves. A couple of concrete blocks also
marking graves that Mr. Cantrell says belong to a family named Carte. I
hope that I made no mistakes but I apologize if any mistakes were
made. This data was provided by Linda L. Carpenter. Any questions
should be directed to her.
