Lola B. Given: I am interested in finding the parents of Warwick Butcher. He was born about 1819 and lived in the Nicholas - Clay County area. He married Mary Margaret Dilley. He had a brother Thomas who married Susan Dilley and a a sister Nancy who may have married a Richard Butcher. Warwick's family was in the Dille, Clay County, W.Va. area in the 1865 - 1890's. Mary is buried at the Butcher Cemetary at Dille. Warwick was captured during the Civil War and ended up at Rock Island, Illinois, and died there. He is buried at that site. My father was Levi J. Butcher who was born in 1881. His father was William Morgan Butcher (born in 1848) who was the son of Warwick Butcher. I do not have a trace of information about Warwick's ancestors. Please write if you can help.
Rod Miller:I am looking for any information about my great grandfather Bedford Miller. This what I know: His name was Bedford Miller and he was born about 1880. He died about 1962. He married Pina Harris Miller. She was born on September 20, 1881 and died October 29, 1953. Their children were Sanuel B., James, Clarence and Virginia. Samuel was born in 1908 and died about 1990. Bedford Miller probably lived in Clay or Braxton County. I am told that his father's name may have been Clark Miller. Thanks a million in advance for your help.
Flora Maynard: I am researching the names of Bragg, Dicks and Williams in Clay County as well as other counties in West Virginia. Any information is greatly appreciated. Let me know how you are connected. Thanks.
S. J. Fain:I am looking for information on William H. Jeffers. He was born in Nicholas County around 1844. He served in the 7th West Virginia Cavalry (Company K, Nicholas County) during the Civil War. He married Manerva Ann Hanshaw in Clay County in 1865. They appear in the 1870 and 1880 Clay County Censuses. Their children are Columbus, Lyda, Paul, Mary, Norman and General P. I would like to know the names of William's parents, or any information about the family. Thank you.
