This census was attempted by Clifton and Lila Funkhouser in 1980.
They recorded many Hardy County cemeteries and generously
wanted their work made available to the public; therefore, they
gave a copy to the Hardy County Public Library. It is reproduced
here with permission from the Library.
The Claude Saville Graveyard is located in Potlick Cove near
Rock Oak. It lies to the rear of the Arlie Funk residence
(in 1980). Arlie visited this graveyard several times, but it
is difficult to locate and is in poor condition. Most stones
are unmarked, but thought to be mostly Savilles. No further
data was recorded.
