This census was taken by Clifton and Lila Funkhouser on November
18, 1975. They recorded many Hardy County cemeteries and
generously wanted their work made available to the public;
therefore, they gave a copy to the Hardy County Public Library.
It is reproduced here with permission from the Library.
This cemetery is located on the Homer Woerner homeplace (in 1975)
in the Kessel area. Go across the run, walk up the mountain road
toward the old Joe Martin place, instead of going to the Martin
place turn left after reaching cleared fields with much old stone
fence standing. At the far SW end of this cleared area is a
prominent high peak. Just before getting to the crest, you will
find a small graveyard. A few posts of the fence remain two
stones remain.
