This census was taken by Clifton and Lila Funkhouser in 1976. They recorded many Hardy County cemeteries and generously wanted their work made available to the public; therefore, they gave a copy to the Hardy County Public Library. It is reproduced here with permission from the Library.

This cemetery is located about two miles North of the Virginia Line on Route 259 just South of Hunkerson Gap turn off, property now lived on by Wade Sherman (in 1976). From the house, go to the left through the field, to the gate, cross the run - the burials are in a wooded area on a hill about 150 yards above the run.

Note from Clifton and Lila Funkhouser:
There were several field stone graves. Mrs. Sherman said that
Dr. Otis Snyder's grandmother was buried here, but she did not
know her name.
