Census taken in 1979. Contributed by Suzanne W. Whitson.
Note: This cemetery has been wrongly identified in the census taken by the Funkhousers as the "Southerly Cemetery" but members of the Taylor family who own the land on which it is located have proof that it has always been known as the Taylor Family Cemetery. The Cemetery is located on part of the 490 acres originally acquired by George Simon in 1703. Rebecca Simon, his daughter married Lemuel Taylor, the great-grandfather of the current owners. Four or five Taylors from this marriage were buried in our cemetery which because of this was named the Taylor Family Cemetery.

This census was taken by Clifton and Lila Funkhouser about 1979.
They recorded many Hardy County cemeteries and generously wanted
their work made available to the public; therefore, they gave a
copy to the Hardy County Public Library. It is reproduced here
with permission from the Library.
This cemetery is located opposite the Bayard Taylor place (in the
late 1970s) on the South Fork on the hill across the road.
