This Indenture made the 20th day of October 1847 Between Barbara Wilson Wife
of William Wilson, of the County of Hardy and State of Virginia of the first
part, and Albert G. Watson of the county and state aforesaid, of the other
part. Witnesseth that the said Barbara Wilson, for and in consideration of
the sum of fifteen dollars current money, to her in hand paid by the same
Albert G. Watson, at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged; hath granted, bargained, sold
released and confirmed, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell
release and confirm unto the said Albert G. Watson, his heirs and assign all
his claim, right, title and interest in a certain tract of land lying in
Hardy County in the drains of Thorn Run, adjoining [Michael?] and others and
being the same that was conveyed by James Hershey and Wife unto said William
Wilson by deed of record in the clerks office of the said county of Hardy;
also her claim, right, title and interest in another tract of one hundred
acres adjoining the [share?] which was conveyed by John Smith and wife unto
said William Wilson by deed of record in the clerks office of Hardy County,
the premises hereby granted being her dower rights in said lands. To have and
to hold the premises hereby granted with all improvements appurtenances
thereunto belonging unto the said Albert G. Watson his heirs and assigns,
that she will warrant and defend the premises hereby granted against herself
and her heirs, and against all other reasons or persons whomever unto the
said Albert G. Watson and his heirs and assigns forever. In testimony whereof
the said Barbara Wilson has hereunto set her hand and seal this day and year
first above [witness?]
