This indenture made the 27 day of July 1841 between William
Wilson & Barbary his wife of the County of Hardy and the State of
Virginia of the one part, and Cyrus Hutton and Job W. Hutton of the
County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth: That the same
William Wilson and Barbary his wife for and in consideration of the sum
of two hundred and sixty five dollars, current money of the United
States unto them in hand by the said Cyrus Hutton and Job W. Hutton at
or before the sealing and [achiasy?] here off the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged have granted, sold, [aliened?], [infaefft?],
released and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell,
[alien?], [enfaoff?] and confirm unto the said Cyrus Hutton and Job W.
Hutton, their heirs and assigns assign a certain tract or parcel of land
containing three hundred forty seven acres situated in Hardy County
adjoining Daniel McNeill, Peter Hutton and Bishop on the South side of
Black Oak Ridge & west side of the south fork of Patterson's Creek
bounded as follows Viz. Beginning at a pine and chesnut oak on a ridge
corner to McNeill, thence with or near his line S84-E24 (**E240) poles to
two pines, two hickories & white oak. N12-E59 poles to a hickory & pine
in Peter Huttons line near a lick, thence with his line N70"46' (**40') W90 poles to two white oak
in a hollow N25-E90 poles to a
chesnut oak, red oak & pine bearing said line N74-W125 (**W135) poles to
two chesnut oak & pine on a ridge S40-W57 poles to five pines N77-W39
poles to a white oak and chesnut oak S42-W188 poles to a pine and chesnut
oak near the top of a ridge, S22 1/2-W96 poles to a black oak and
hickory in Bishops line, with said line S84-E164 poles to two white oaks
in McNeill line, with the same N28 1/2-E100 poles to the Beginning with
its appurtenances, together with all and singular the rights,
improvements, [????] & appurtenances whatsoever there belonging and the
revisions and remainders, rents, issues and profits there off - To have
and to hold all the singular the premises with the appurtenances hereby
granted unto the said Cyrus Hutton & Job W. Hutton their heirs and
assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Cyrus and Job W.
Hutton their heirs and assigns forever - And the said William Wilson and
Barbary hereby [covenant?] for themselves and their heirs that they are
seized of good and indefeasible estate of Inheritance in the premises
and that they have good right to convey the same to the said Cyrus
Hutton & Job W. Hutton in manner aforsaid -
And lastly that the said William Wilson & Barbary his wife and
their heirs all and singular the premises hereby granted with
theirappurtances unto the said Cyrus Hutton and Job W. Hutton their
heirs and assigns against the said William Wilson & Barbary his wife and
all and every other personshall covenant and forever defend by these
presents
In testimony whereof the said William Wilson & Barbary his wife
have here unto at their hands and seals the day and year first above
written.
