JACKSON CO. WV


The county officer now known as the Assessor was known as the Commissioner of Revenue before West Virginia became a state, June 20, 1863. From 1873 to 1910 the county was divided into a Northern and a Southern district, with an Assessor elected for each district. Following are the dates of service and names of persons acting as Assessors.
