JACKSON CO. WV
The following persons have served as Prosecuting Attoney since the formation of the county in 1831. I could not locate the names of officials for the Civil War years, and for the 1873-1877 term. Up until the formation of West Virginia in 1863, the Prosecuting Attorney was called the Commonwealth Attorney.
Note: Samuel Snyder died, May 14, 1985, and John Hoffman was appointed in his stead, April 1985, and subsequently elected, 1988. He resigned, January 1989, and Joseph Hash Jr., was appointed in his stead, January 13, 1989.
