Early Logan County VA/WV Birth Records 1853 - 1860

These records were transcribed by Vicie "Babe" Waskey Fowler from the original manuscript, which was in rather bad shape, due to water damage, torn pages, etc. While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, due to the condition of the manuscript and "human error", mistakes are probable. These records were entered into pc format by Terry Collins

Most of the columns are self-explanatory. Those that are not are:

• W/C = white or color
• F/S = free or slave
• F/M = female or male
• A/D = alive or dead
• OCC/TION = Occupation of father
• REL/SHIP = Relationship of informant to the child
