I was the youngest boy of five children . I remember all the trash and cars and houses floating down the creek . I do remember that although we had to leave our home we still wasn't hit by water although it was just down the hill from our home. It was just the grace of God that had protected our family. With 5 children we managed to get through the worst flood of all times. Although I still have two brothers that are coal miners and all the rest of us left state I can still recall the 1972 Flood as one of the most tragic events and happenings in my life today.
