Fairview Cemetery

Read by A. James Wiley, New Martinsville, West Virginia. Submitted by James R. Wiley.

Located at Fairview, Marshall Co., WV, at intersection of Burch Ridge Road & Proctor Ridge Road.

The church which once stood there at the intersection, at the top of the hill no longer remains. A new home, owned by the Carmichael Family, stands near where the church was, where now the brass bell on a raised concrete platform is the only remaining monument to the cemetery. This list was originally created by A. James Wiley of New Martinsville, WV, whose family lived for years in the old Friedly home at Fairview.

Groups of names without blank lines between then indicate single stones with multiple names on them. Names are arranged in order of rows within the cemetery. The names and dates have been checked against the original lists, but not checked individually against each monument.

Note: There might be some conflicts since we have two Fairview cemeteries.
