Photos by Mark & Jim Myers, 2005. Submitted by Sharon Jones.
From Sharon Jones: "I have not been able to identify which cemetery those photos came from. Here is what I was told. "it was a small family cemetery now located on coal company ground." and "Hannah and Andrew Gatts lived on Gatts Ridge and are buried in the very small cemetery on the family farm. From this information it could be either Gatts Cemetery on Rt. 76 or the one on Rt. 72."
Note from Mark Myers, 6/22/2007: Gatts Cemetery is on Taylors Ridge Road almost exactly one mile from County Road 7/4, above Graysville. The cemetery is about ten feet off of the road on the north side, and eight feet above the road. It is not easily seen if your vehicle is moving over 5 mph. It is in the trees, overgrown with grass, and unfenced. The GPS coordinates are N39° 49.6049', W80° 46.8169'.
