NOTE from Mrs. Briggs: Not sure if Wayne Cemetery is correct name. It could be Simms. We were told there were no other cemeteries on this ridge. We gave it this name for identification.

NOTE from Doris Meyer Tobias - October 1999:
R. S. Moore is Remembrance Swan Moore, born October 4, 1855 to Michael and Margaret Sine Moore. - Meriar Amanda Darrah (b. 9/28/1867) was his second wife (married 7/31/1889), sister to his first wife Elizabeth A. Darrah (b. 2/25/1861, d. 8/16/1885-gravesite unknown) (married to Elizabeth on 10/21/1877)-- The son of Remembrance Swan Moore and Meriar Amanda Darrah, George H. Moore was born December 4, 1905 and was a twin to Fred L. Moore. -- Milton was a brother to Remembrance. Milton's wife was Mazy (with a Z) J. Miller. -- Remembrance is my great-grandfather; my grandmother Nora Agnes Moore Meyer was a daughter of Elizabeth and Remembrance (they had four children). Remembrance and Amanda had 11 children.

NOTE from Chris Sims Freshwater - July 1, 2003:
On the Wayne-Simms cemetery listing, there seems to be a question as to the name of this cemetery. Though I have not seen an actual plot of this property, I do know that Jackson Sims in his will divided this property among his children. There was a notation it was on the old McHenry place. Did Jackson purchase this property in the 1800's from the McHenrys? .......this cemetery is on the Jackson Sims land. All his children and their children took their turn in farming the land. There was a lot of land transactions over the years. I have no idea who lives up there now. I do know that Charlie Sims over the years sold off the property in sections. I've not researched the Wayne land, although I know that the Waynes, McCulloughs and McHenrys all lived up along the Birch Ridge area.......... But I do believe the cemetery should be labeled the Simms (no apostrophe) cemetery ...
