Wells Cemetery

Wells Cemetery is located in extreme southwestern Marshall County on land that was formerly part of the Wells family farms. It is situated on a hillside on the east side of WV Rte 2 approximately one mile north of the Marshall County-Wetzel County line. It lies immediately across from a Bayer chemical company plant and just north of the Bayer Credit Union building. There is no road access to the cemetery. - Many unmarked graves.

NOTE: Harry and Lou Fair Palmer lived at Proctor in the early years of 1900. He was an undertaker. Later he moved to Pine Grove and established his business there. They were the parents of the twins mentioned above.
