Marshall County Will Book I, page 102

The last will and testament of John Lemon of Marshall County State of
Virginia:  I John Lemon considering the uncertainty of this mortal life
and being of sound mind and memory blessed be Almighty God of the same
do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form
following that is to say: First I desire that my executor who I shall
more fully name hereafter to sel as much of my personally estate as to
pay all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.  I give and
bequeath all the balance to my beloved wife Margret to have and do as
she may think propter.

I also give and bequeath all my lands to my wife Margret and proceeds
thereof her lifetime and after her decease to be equally divided among
my nine children Orange, John, William, David & Alford and Sarah,
Martha, Elizabeth and Nancy Ann, to them and their heirs forever.

Lastly: I Constitute and appoint my beloved wife Margret my sole
executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others
or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made.  I witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this nineteenth day of
February one thousand eight-hundred and forty eight of the year of our
