Will of David Karr.

In the name of God amen. I, David Karr, of Sand Hill District, Marshall County,
West Virginia, being of sound and disposing mind & memory & intending now while in
health to dispose of my worldly affairs as to me seems best, hereby revoking and
annulling all other former wills by me at any time made & do hereby make ordain &
constitute this my last will & testament as follows viz:

After all my lawful debts are paid & discharged, the remainder of my real and
personal property I give and bequeath and dispose of as follows: 

1st I give and bequeath until my dear wife, Eliza Karr, if she should survive me,
all of my real property which consists of the homestead farm in Sand Hill District,
Marshall County, WVa, for her own use and benefit, to have and to hold the same
during her natural life, and at her death to be disposed of as follows:

2nd I also give and bequeath unto my dear wife Eliza Karr all of my personal
property.
 
3rd At the death of my deal wife, Eliza Karr, I do hereby give & bequeath unto my
son, Edward Samuel Karr, my homestead farm in Sand Hill District, Marshall County,
WVa for which he shall comply with the following: He must remain with his father
and mother on this farm, our homestead, & work with us until our deaths.

4th I give & bequeath unto my daughter, Sarah Ann Karr Porter, Fifty Dollars
($50.00) to be paid unto her by my son Edward ?? in one year from the death of my
wife Eliza Karr, no interest on it. 

5th I give and bequeath unto my son James C. Karr, Fifty Dollars, to be paid unto
him by my son Edward, in two years from the death of my wife Eliza Karr, no
interest on it. 

6th I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Karr Daughtery, Fifty Dollars,
to be paid unto her by my son Edward S. in three years after the death of my wife
Eliza Karr, no interest on it.
 
7th I give and bequeath unto my son David H. Karr, Fifty Dollars to be paid by my
son Edward S. in four years after the death of my dear wife Eliza Karr, no interest
on it. 

8th I give and bequeath unto my son Alfred ? Karr, Fifty Dollars to be paid unto
him by my son Edward S Karr in five years from the death of my dear wife Eliza
Karr, no interest on it. 

9th I give & bequeath unto my son John U. Karr, Fifty Dollars to be paid unto him
by my son Edward S. Karr in six years from the death of my wife Eliza Karr, no
interest on it; 

10th I give & bequeath unto my daughter Ida D. Karr, Fifty Dollars to be paid unto
her by my son Edward S. as follows: Five dollars to be paid unto her in two years
from deal of my death wife, Eliza Karr, and then ten dollars yearly until all is
paid, no interest on it. Also she is to have her bedroom and her living off the
farm as long she may remain single. 

I hereby appoint & Constitute John Daughety (my son-in-law) to be Executor of this
my last will & testament. In testimony whereof I here unto set my hand and affix my
seal at my residence, my aforementioned Homestead in Sand Hill District, Marshall
County, WVa this 5th day of September A.D. 1887.

Witnesses: Signed, sealed & published & declared as and for the last will &
testament of the testator in the presence of us. Who in his presence & at his
request & at his request & in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed
our names as witnesses, this 5th day of September A. D. 1887.

West Virginia Marshall County Court July 16 1889:
A paper writing bearing date on the 5th day of Sept. 1887 purporting to be the last
will & testament of David Karr, late of this County deceased was this day fully
proved by the oaths of J. A. Campbell and F. H. Campbell, the subscribing witnesses
thereunto & is ordered to be recorded, & John H. Daughtery, the Executor therein
named who made oath ****** as required by law & who together with F. H. Campbell
his ******* who qualifies as to his sufficiency entered into and acknowledged this
bond in the ***** sum of Two Hundred Dollars Conditioned and payable as the law
directs. Therefore Certificate is granted the said John H. Daughtery for obtaining
a probate of said will in due form & it is ordered that J. A. Campbell, F. H.
Campbell & ? T B???? ****** & they are appointed appraisers of the personal estate
of said David Karr, dced. They being first duly sworn for that purpose. Said ******
being all present were duly sworn in open Court
