James Wellman's will
In the name of God Amen I James Wellman of Marshall county and state of Virginia tho in feeble health yet of sound disposing mind do make this my last will and testament and I will and bequeath to my wife all my household and kitchen goods and furniture also one horse beast two cows and all my bees to be at her disposal. To Amos P Wellman too horse beasts and gear my wagon and all my farming utenshals and the balance of my personal property after my decease to be sold and my lawful debts and funeral expenses was paid I leave my wife one third of the proceeds of said sale and the balance to be divided equaly between my daughters and Margaret Jane my grand daughter. All personal property remaining after my wifes decease to be equally divided between my daughters and grand daughter above named.
I will and bequeath to my wife all my real estate during her life time and at her death to be divid as follows I will to my son Samuel Wellman a certain part of my real estate as follows towit Beginning at a white oak corner to the Johnson Survey thence running westward with a partition fence to the road thence with the meander of said road to a white oak corner of the survey bought of Kirus thence to the beginning and the balance of my real estate I will to my sons Rudolph and Amos P.
