Charles Hill and Orga Knapp Chapman

This is a letter sent from Charles Hill to his cousin Orga Knapp Chapman November 21, 1918 it is owned by R Ransom. Orga Knapp Chapman was the daughter of William V Knapp of Union District, Mason County and the granddaughter of William Warden Knapp. Charlie did not survive WWI and is buried in France.

Dear Cousin,

will drop you a card in answer to your letter which I recieved (sic) a few days ago. was very glad to hear from you. I think I will get to come back to the good old U.S.A. in a short time. am well and having a good time.hope you are too I am. would write a letter but can't get any paper at present. how are all the folks at home? tell them all hello for me. would like to see you all. ___ ____ have whipped the H____. wish you a merry "xmas and Happy New year" hope "old Saint Nick" don't forget you well I must close. hoping to see you and hear from you soon so good by.
