Old Soldier Gone
As we go to press we learn of the death of Mr Frank M Thornton on February 11th, at the home of Mr J A Pickins on Thomas Ridge, age 77 years. He was a veteran of the Civil War and leaves two brothers and two sisters to mourn their loss.
Remains will be put to rest Friday the 18th at Lutton graveyard. (NOTE: This is the date of the paper I wrote down when I printed this off the microfilm reader, but the 18th was not a Friday during February 1914, I will recheck the microfilm the next trip to Mason County)
