Edythe A McDermitt, 70, Elmwood, W.Va., died Friday night at Holzer Medical Center.
Mrs. McDermitt was a member of the Elmwood United Methodist Church.
She was born July 15, 1910, the daughter of the late M E and Ida Jividen Pickens.
She is survived by her husband, William McDermitt; one daughter: Mrs. Isabelle Stone, Robertsburg, W. Va.; one son: Boyd McDermitt, at home; one sister: Mrs. Grace Sullivan, West Columbia; one brother: Charles Pickens, Leon; one grandson.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Raynes Funeral Home in Buffalo, W.Va.

Lydia A. McKinney, 80, Route 2, Point Pleasant, died Saturday at her home after a long illness.
She was a homemaker, lifelong resident of Mason County, and member of the Mr. Zion United Brethren Church, Rt. 2, Leon.
Born August 21, 1899, in Evans, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Sarah Lyons Shinn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie McKinney, and two sons.
Surviving are three sons, A. W. McKinney, Point Pleasant, Russell McKinney, Fairborn, Ohio, and Oral McKinney, Lorraine, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Nowlin, Southside, and Mrs. Maxine West, Youngstown, Ohio; and two brothers, Hoyt Shinn, Columbus, Ohio, and Henry Shinn, Ft. Stewart, Fla.; 31 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 2 pm, at the Mt. Zion United Brethren Church, with the Rev. Donald Lockhart and Rev. John Icenhower officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Stevens Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

Mide McKnight Dies Tuesday

Mide G. McKnight, 83, Hartford, died Tuesday in the Holzer Medical Center.
Born Nov. 5, 1896, in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late George and Mattie Brown Ginther.
She was a member of the Hartford United Methodist Church and the Julia Bryant Sewing Club.
Survivors include her husband, James T. McKnight; a son, Charles T., Atwater, Ohio; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, George G., in 1966.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 1 pm at the Foglesong Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

Hercel D Morrison, 60, Rt. 1, Leon, died Thursday evening in Pleasant Valley Hospital after a short illness.
An employee of the Chris-Craft Corp., Gallipolis, Morrison was an Army veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) in Columbus, Ohio.
Born Aug. 16, 1919, in Mason County, he was a son of Mrs. Belle Stone Morrison Sayre, Rt. 2, Point Pleasant, and the late Holly Morrison.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Iva DeWeese Morrison; three sons, Darrell and Sheldon of Leon, Roger at home; four sisters, Mrs. Annis Blessing, Point Pleasant; Mrs. Lillian Donohue, Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Beatrice Boles and Mrs. Reba Jones, Leon; two brothers, Paul and Donald, both of Columbus; and three granddaughters, Darlene, Diana and Tonya Morrison, Leon.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, 1 pm at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Leon.

Gladys Neal, 70, Dies Thursday

Gladys E Neal, 70, 1 Burdette Addition, died at her home Thursday morning following a short illness. A charter member of the First Church of God, Point Pleasant, Mrs. Neal was a retired ward secretary at Pleasant Valley Hospital, having served there for 17 years.
Born Jan. 12, 1910 in Mason County, she was the daughter of the late George and Martha Bennett Miller.
Mrs. Neal is survived by her husband Mearl Neal, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Turner; a sister, Mrs. Emily Frazier, two brothers, William and Steve Miller, all of Point Pleasant; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home with the Rev. George Oiler, the Rev. Grant Lockhart and the Rev. Bob Dolin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Suncrest Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 pm today.

Robert Nibert Dies Sunday

Robert G. "Bob" Nibert, 43, Gallipolis Ferry, died Sunday morning at his home following a long illness.
Born April 12, 1937, in Gallipolis Ferry, he was the son of Charles E. "Mose" and Maude Miller Nibert, Point Pleasant.
He was a construction worker and a member of the Boilermakers Union 667 of Charleston.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Carrie Wright Nibert; two sons, Robert "Ed" Nibert, Gallipolis Ferry, Shawn Matthew Nibert, Gallipolis Ferry; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Hyatt, Point Pleasant, Mrs. William (Pauline) Wamsley, Point Pleasant, Mrs. Richard (Charlotte) Kriege, Amherst, Ohio, Mrs. George (Claries) Sticker, Tennessee; four brothers, Morris and Marshall "Bud" Nibert, Moundsville, and Shirl Nibert of Gallipolis Ferry.
He was preceded in death by one son and a daughter, Daniel and Diane, and a sister, Dotty Lou Nibert.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 1:30 pm, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth W. Coleman and Rev. George Hoschar officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery, Gallipolis Ferry.

Josie Painter Dies Wednesday

Mrs. Josie Snooks Painter, 76, Route 2, Bidwell, Ohio, died Wednesday at 4 pm in Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Mrs. Painter was born Sept. 26, 1903 at Whitmer, W.Va., a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Snooks. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Homer B Painter; three daughters, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Hipes and Mrs. Wallace (Louise) Burns, both of Point Pleasant, and Mrs. Mary Lou Fleshman, Durham, N.C.; three sons, BW Painter, Point Pleasant Rt. 2, Robert S Painter, Rainelle W.Va., and Walter L Painter, Richmond, Va.; and 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A son, Fred Painter, died in 1975.
Services for Mrs. Painter will be held Saturday at 1 pm at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Goodin officiating. Burial will be in the Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio.

Rites Thursday for Golda Piatt

Services for Golda Piatt, 63, 2427 ½ Lincoln Ave., Point Pleasant, who died Monday morning in the University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, will be held Thursday at 11 am at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home with the Rev. Tally Hanna officiating. Burial will follow in the Suncrest Cemetery.
Miss Piatt was a retired employee of the GC Murphy Co. with over 30 years of service. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was born in Mason County, a daughter of the late Lee and Fannie Harmon Piatt.
Surviving are two nephews, John and Melvin Piatt, both of Columbus, and two sisters-in-law, Beulah and Mary Piatt, also of Columbus.

Pearley Edward (Ed) Pike, 81, Glenwood, died Monday in Cabell-Huntington Hospital.
Mr. Pike was a retired farmer and a member of Ball's Chapel United Methodist Church. He was born at Pliny on July 16, 1898 to the late James and Emma Casey Pike.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Waugh Pike; two sons, James of Union Ridge, W.Va. and Donald of Lesage; six daughters, Dorothy Sturgeon, Ashton, Stella Knapp and Ruby Martin, Lesage, Hazel Cuckler, Columbus, Ohio, Bonnie Holley and Bernice Pike, West Columbia; and 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 pm at the Ball's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sam Egnor officiating. Burial will be in Ball's Chapel Cemetery.

Eris (Pete) Price, 75, 3411 Jackson Ave., Point Pleasant, died Tuesday evening in Pleasant Valley Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Price was born June 24, 1904 at Portland, Ohio (Meigs County), a son of the late William Price and Anna Meek Price.
He was employed on the river as a first mate for the Union Barge Line for 32 years and was a member of the National Maritime Union of Pittsburgh and the First Church of the Nazarene of Point Pleasant.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine (Tatty) Shiflet Price; one son, William Price, Belpre, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Helen Schmidt, Grove City, Ohio; a brother, Lester Price, Portland; several nieces and nephews and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Claude.
Services will be held Friday at 2 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Ray Whiteman officiating. Burial will follow in the Beale Chapel Cemetery at Apple Grove.
Friends may call at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home after 6 pm Thursday. The body will be taken to the church one hour before services.

Norma N Rice, 49, 1311 Ohio Street, Point Pleasant, was dead on arrival at 2:30 am today at Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Miss Rice was born Aug. 27, 1930 at Leon and was a daughter of Mrs. Tina Plants Rice and the late Eddy Rice.

Mrs. Barbara Shell Robie, 38, a resident of Rt. 1, Bidwell, and a former resident of Pt Pleasant, died at 12:35 PM Saturday (January 12, 1980) in the Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.
She was a former employee of Citizens National bank, Pt Pleasant, a member of Heights United Methodist Church and Win-One Sunday School Class,
She was a 1961 graduate of Pt Pleasant High School. She was also a graduate of the Huntington School of Beauty Culture. She was a former employee of Tootie's Beauty Shop in Pt Pleasant.
She was born June 19, 1941, in Pt Pleasant, daughter of Mrs. Mina Shuler Shell, Pt Pleasant, and the late Grant Shell.
Other survivors are her husband, Carroll Robie; one daughter, Rachel and one son, Eric, both at home; one sister, Mrs. Bob (Nancy) McCallister, Des Moines, Iowa and one brother, George Shell, Pt Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm, Tuesday at the Heights United Methodist Church with the Rev Ralph Sager, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Suncrest Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home from 2 until 9 pm today.
The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.

Born June 2, 1930, in the Union Community, he was a son of the late Otmer and Katie Roush Roush.
He was a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Fannie Boston Roush; three sons, Richard L of Huntington, Danny R. and Jeffrey P, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Thompson, Mrs. Naomi Ohlinger, both of Letart, Mrs. Mary Duncan, Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Otmer Lee Roush, Letart; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 1 pm at the Foglesong Funeral Home with Rev Gerald Sayre officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Vernon Community.

Born Dec. 1, 1915, in the Broad Run Community, he was the son of the late Park and Etta Roush Roush.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Veva K. Roush, who died March 4, 1980.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Tommy (Rebecca S.) Jones, Newport, Ohio, Mrs. Darrell (Roberta M.) Smith, Leon; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Harris, Mrs. Ora McCully, Wheeling; two brothers, Paul A. Roush, Point Pleasant, Harry D. Roush, Caledonia, Ohio; and two grandchildren, John and Andreau Smith.
He was the former owner and operator of Roush's Drive-In in Letart.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 1:30 pm, in the Foglesong Funeral Home with Leslie White officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Cemetery.
