Rudolph Russell Holstein, 71, Detroit, Michigan, formerly of Arbuckle, died Thursday at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Detroit following a short illness.
Born July 23, 1909 at Arbuckle, he was the son of the late Frederick Brooks Holstein and Mary Elizabeth Tillis Holstein.
He was a veteran of World War II, served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Teamsters Local at Detroit and a retired truck driver.
His wife, Nancy M. Wamsley Holstein, preceded him in death April 24, 1978.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Sheeran, South Charleston, and Mrs. Anna Matthews, Chillicothe, Ohio; two brothers, Charles, Arbuckle, and William F., South Charleston.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p. m. Tuesday at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with the Rev. William "Bud" Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Oak Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 7-9 p.m.

Charles Clayton Pullins, 71 of 36 Windsor Ct. Pt. Pleasant, died Sept.18, 1981 at 7:30am following a short illness.
Born April 7,1910 in Mason County, he was the son of the late Charles Julius & Emma S. (McKinney) Pullins. He attended Heights United Methodist Church and was a retired from the automobile business in Mason County for 40 years. He is survived by his wife Pauline (Yeager) Pullins; one daughter Barbara A. Sayre; one son Charles "Buddie" Pullins; one sister Verdie Burks; three brothers Eddie, Rodney, and Paul; three grandchildren Bertha A. & Chad C. Pullins of Westerville, Ohio and Cathy L. Jordan of Huntington. Service was held September 20, 1981 at 2:00 pm at Heights UM Church with Rev. Ralph Sager.
Burial was in Suncrest Cemetery. (Wilcoxen Funeral Home)
