in the Holzer Medical Center Hospital.
Born Feb 20, 1922 in Hartford to the late James Ellis Roush and
Bertha Hoffman Hall, who survives in Point Pleasant.
Other survivors are her husband, Clyde W Gibbs of Hartford; three
brothers, William P Roush and James R Roush, both of Hartford
and Russell H Roush of Clifton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 pm at the Foglesong

Born Aug 29, 1898 in Olive Hill, Ky., she was the daughter of
the late Henry and Ida Owens Henderson. She is also preceded in
death by her husband, Oscar C Gillam, who died on April 1.
Surviving are her two daughters, Mrs Jacqueline Bowling, Point
Pleasant and Mrs Sue Ellixson, Orlando, Fla. four sons, Joe and

He was retired from Gay Coal and Coke of Mt Gay and was a member
of the United Mine Workers in Charleston.
He was born Sept 5, 1901 in Layton, Ky. to the late John and Rhoda
Cole Gillam.
Surviving are his wife, Maud Henderson Gillam, two daughters,

James M Gray, II, 50, 2312 Jefferson Ave., Point Pleasant, was
found dead at his home yesterday evening where Mason County Coroner,
Dr John M Grubb, estimated the time he had been dead 18 to 20
hours. The cause of death was natural causes.
He was born Nov 26, 1931, at Charleston, W.Va. and was a son of
the late James M Gray and Margaret Frazier Gray.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and also an honorary
member of the American Legion Post 23, Point Pleasant. He was
retired off the river from the Union-Mechling Corporation as a
marine engineer at Pittsburgh, Pa.
He is survived by three sons, James M Gray, III, Huntington, Thomas
F Gray, St Albans and Robert M Gray, Bidwell, Ohio; one grandson,
James M Gray, IV, New Haven and one granddaughter, Chastity D
Gray of Bidwell, Ohio; one brother, John F Bray, Gallipolis, Ohio.

following a long illness.

and Cora Mae Snyder Grimm.

miner and farmer.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Barbara Stanley Grimm, who
died in 1976.

morning in Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Born Sept 11, 1910, in Kinde, Mich, he was the son of the late
Ernest G and Emma Kinde Hall.
He was a retired pharmacist and owned and operated Hall's Drug
Store in Point Pleasant for 27 years.
He was chairman of the board of directors of the Point Pleasant
Savings and Loan at the time of his death, a trustee at Pleasant
Valley Hospital and a member of American Pharmaceutical Association.
He served in the US Navy in World War II, was a member of the
Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 23, Loyal Order of Moose,
Point Pleasant Kiwanis Club and the IOOF Lodge 33, Point Pleasant.
A graduate of the Detroit School of Pharmacy in 1933, he worked
in Buckhannon for four years before coming to Point Pleasant in
1937.
He is survived by his wife, Rohda Windon Hall; a daughter, Mrs
Natalie Jane Feola, Williamstown; a son, Terry Windon Hall, Beckley;
two sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Genevieve) Larzelere, Ann Arbor, Mich
and Mrs Howard (Natalie) Sherman, Sun City Center, Fla; a brother,
Gerald R Hall, ________, Fla; six grandchildren, two nephews and
three nieces.

He was also a World War II Veteran serving in the US Army and

Born Aug 25, 1900 in Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the daughter of
the late Simeon and Marya Mozurak. Her parents emigrated from
Czarist, Russia in the 1880s.
The deceased and her late husband, W Harold Hayes, came to Point
Pleasant in 1932 and established Haynes Jewelers, Main Street,
Point Pleasant.
Two sons, William Norman and Robert James, preceded her in death.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Point Pleasant
and active in the family business until five years ago.

Batchelor, Point Pleasant; one son, Dr Harold M Hayes, Forest
Grove, Oregon; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Mary Bright Henry.
He was a deacon and elder of Jordan Baptist Church, Gallipolis
Ferry and was a member since 1925. He taught a boy's Sunday School
class and was Sunday School superintendent for eight years. He
was also a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Evelyn Putney Henry, Gallipolis Ferry;
seven daughters, Virginia Pyles, Mahala Jones, Margaret Yester,
Ann Fisher and Geraldine Adams, all of Gallipolis Ferry, Yvonne
Short, Glouster, Ohio and Maxine Johnson, Shell Lake, Wis.; 24
grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and brothers.

She married Chester Hill on July 3, 1926 who survives. Also surviving
are three sons, George, of Pensacola, Jack, of Louisiana, and
Ruben of Gallipolis; a daughter, Mrs Cecil (Mary) Roach, Point
Pleasant; 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and a sister
and brother.

in musical circles in both Point Pleasant and Mr Hope.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J Ed Howard, formerly

Indiana, formerly of Point Pleasant, died Monday in the University
of Cincinnati General Hospital.
Born June 15, 1923, in Point Pleasant, he was the son of the late
Stanley and Elizabeth Mullins Johnson.
He had been employed by American Electric Power since July, 1947
and worked for the Appalachian Electric Company in Point Pleasant
prior to transferring in July, 1955, to the Indiana-Michigan Electric
Company in Fort Wayne where he was office manager in the accounting
department.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the American
Legion Post 23 of Point Pleasant, a founder and past officer of
the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Point Pleasant, a graduate of
Point Pleasant High School and attended Rio Grande College.
In Fort Wayne, he was a past officer of the Lions International,
a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Fort Wayne 100 Percent
Club and the Summit Club.
He is survived by his wife, Betty J Williams Johnson; a daughter,
Mrs Jane Quandt, Fort Wayne; a son, Stan Johnson, Lexington, Ky.;
two brothers, William M, Chicago, Ill., and James E, St Augustine,
Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Jones, who attended the Crook's Chapel Church, had resided in
Gallia County for more than forty years. He was an employee of
the Gallipolis State Institute and retired in 1966.
He married Leona Hayman on May 14, 1920, in Gallipolis. She preceded
him in death Oct. 6, 1978.

who died in 1972, and a brother, Sherman M McDermitt.
A member of the New Haven United Methodist Church, she was converted
Feb 22, 1912, and joined the New Haven United Brethern Church

and the Rhododendron Homemakers Club.

Mrs Anna Bratton Lewis, 91, Point Pleasant, widow of Charles Cameron
Lewis, died Sunday evening.
Born Nov 3, 1890, in Bath County, Va., she was a daughter of John
Mitchell and Mary Grove Bratton. Mrs Lewis took nurses training
at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. graduating
in the Spring of 1918. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church
in Point Pleasant. Her husband, who died in May, 1964, was one
of the organizers of the Citizens National Bank of Point Pleasant.
He was president or chairman of the board of the bank from 1929
to 1964.
Mrs Lewis is survived by her daughter, Annette Lewis Seidel, and
by Margaret Lynn Lewis, Virginia Lewis Harper, and Charles C Lewis
Jr.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
One great-grandson, Andrew Seidel, son of John Lewis and Robin
Seidel, was born the day his great-grandmother died.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday at the family

there from Springfield, Missouri.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,
