Born Nov.18, 1900, West Columbia, she was the daughter of the late John and Savanna Rickard Mourning.
Her husband, Daniel H Marr, preceded her in death in 1968. Also preceding her in death was a son, Willis D Marr, a brother, John T Mourning and three sisters, Ora Johnson, Icie Marr and Rebecca Gibbs.
She was a member of the Clifton Tabernacle Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs Milton (Gladys M) Roush, Clifton; two sisters, Mrs Sarah C Roush, Letart and Mrs Willa F Fry, Gallipolis, Ohio; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Born May 15, 1923, in Mason, she was the daughter of the late Frank Wilson and Helen Cunningham Wilson of Mason, who survives.
She was a waitress.
Surviving in addition to her mother is a daughter, Mrs Cheryl Laudermilt, Five Points, Ohio; a brother, Woodrow Wilson, Miami, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Wednesday at Foglesong Funeral Home in Mason with the Rev Franklin Pickens officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens.

Clarence (Bill) Matheny, 66, 212-A Woodland Drive, Nitro, formerly of Point Pleasant, died Saturday at 11:15 pm at the Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston.
He was a retired employee of the Monsanto Chemical Co, a member of the St Paul United Methodist Church of Nitro, and a former member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant.
He was born July 7, 1915 at Ripley to the late Forrest E and Lula Mae Shotts Matheny.
He is survived by his with Annabelle Selby Matheny; one daughter, Carol J Caldwell, Charleston; one brother, Alva L Matheny, Point Pleasant; one sister, Mrs Mary E Blake, Shelton, Wash. and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home with the Rev Tally Hanna officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Oak Cemetery.

Harold Otis Matheny Jr., 14, Rt. 1, Leon, died Friday from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Rt. 62 north of Point Pleasant.
Born Sept 27, 1968, in Point Pleasant, he was the son of Harold O and Erma Hart Matheny.
He was a ninth grade student at Point Pleasant Junior High School.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Daniel Lee and Christopher Allen Matheny, both at home; paternal grandfather, Melvin Matheny, Leon; maternal grandmother, Famous Hart, Point Pleasant; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Monday in the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with the Rev Herman Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Leon Cemetery.

Born April 20, 1913, at Leon, he was the son of Charles Mattox, Columbus, Ohio, and the late Cora Mattox.
He is retired from Ceramic Tile Products of Parkersburg and a former West Virginia Department of Highways employee. He was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle at Leon.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine Juanita Jordan Mattox; four sisters, Mrs Dicey Priddy, Sandusky, Ohio, Grace Rollins, Columbus, Ohio, Dorothy Thornton and Dolly Thevelin, both of Leon, Arthur Mattox, Sandusky, Ohio, and Holly Mattox, Columbus, Ohio.

Junior H "Donney" Mayes, 53, Ashton, was dead on arrival Friday morning at Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Born May 7, 1928, Crown City, Ohio, he was son of the late Emerson B and Clara Adkins Mayes.
He was a life-long resident of the Ashton area and was a member of the Balls Chapel, Ashton.
Surviving are five brothers, Lester Lee and Emerson Eugene Mayes, Apple Grove, Harold Robert Mayes, Lesage, Daniel Kenneth Mayes, Milton and Randall Guy Mayes, Ashton and two sisters, Sylvia Louise Harrison, Huntington and Betty Marie Brumfield, Ashton.
Preceding him in death was his brother, Donald James Mayes.

Born August 20, 1906, in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Charley J Smith and Hattie L Edans Smith.
Her husband, Nelson (Mack) McAlister, preceded her in death in 1976.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs Cora Fields, Anniston, Ala., Mrs Elisbeath Tate, Oxford, Ala., and Mrs Viola Crawford, Grover N.C.

Mason County Bank President, A Keith McClung, Dies

A Keith McClung Sr., 83, Hartford, died Tuesday morning in Holzer Medical Center.
Born August 29, 1898, at Rupert, W.VA., he was the son of the late Lewis Edgar and Margaret Callison McClung.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Florence Juhling McClung, who died in 1966.
He was owner and operator of the Farmer's Store in New Haven and was president of the Mason County Bank. He was a member of the Hartford Baptist Church, a veteran of World War I and belonged to the American Legion Smith-Capehart Post 140 at New Haven. He attended West Virginia University and was active in the Democratic political party.
Surviving are two sons, A Keith McClung Jr., Baltimore, Md., and Dr Hugo Juhling McClung, Columbus, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the Hartford Baptist Church with the Rev Bud Hatfield officiating.
Burial will follow in Suncrest Memorial Part.
Friends may call from 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Foglesong Funeral Home in Mason.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Hartford Baptist Church.

Born April 30, 1889, at Henderson, he was the son of the later Charles E and Emma Chapman McCulloch.
He was a retired farmer, a member of Vaught Memorial United Methodist Church and a member of the Minturn Lodge No. 19, AF & AM for over 50 years.
His wife was the late Marguerite Couch McCulloch, who died Nov. 14, 1980.

She was a retired employee from the North American Aviation Co., of Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, one sister and one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Laura Ellen Hill, Galena, Ohio; one son, Hugh Rickard, Point Pleasant; one sister, Josephine Worley McGraw, Point Pleasant; one brother, Pascal H Worley, Point Pleasant; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Surviving are his mother, Nessie Moore, New Haven and a sister, Mrs Frances Atkinson, 21 South College Ave, Apt Nine, Salem, Va.
The body was taken to the Foglesong Funeral Home and from there to the John M Oakey Funeral Home at Salem, Va., from where funeral arrangements will be announced later.

She was born Oct 5, 1901 in North Carolina. Preceding her in death was her husband, Edgar and a son Julian, both who died this past May.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs Frances Atkinson, Salem, Va., sisters, nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to the Foglesong Funeral Home and then sent to the John Oakley and Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va. Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 25. Burial was at Vinton, Va.

He was a member of the Zion Baptist Church and a retiree of Lakin Hospital. He was also an active member of the Frateral (sic) Order of Police, Lodge 102 of Point Pleasant.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel Dabney Myers, Gallipolis Ferry; one daughter, Mary Lou Raymond, Columbus, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Betty Tudor, Bexley, Ohio; three brothers, Zenie E Myers, Gallipolis Ferry, Roy Myers, Southside and Rev Ivan Myers, Southside; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by two sisters and borthers.

She was a member of the Wyoma Pentecostal Church.

Born August 14, 1888, at Gazil in Clay County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Barbara Warner Nichols.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Shiloh Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Gladys Nichols Dunham, Leon; two sons, Delbert E, Leon, and Donald R, Point Pleasant; one sister, Wavie Nichols Jones, Cross Lanes; one brother, Romie Nichols, Summersville; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rouie I Hall Nichols, on July 5, 1970, a sister, Belva Mullins, five brothers, Walter, Alfred, Roland, Okie and Clayton, and two great-grandchildren.

Captain Edgar "Chick" Null, 73, of Gallipolis Ferry, died at his home Tuesday after a long illness.
He was born October 24, 1909 in Putnam County to the late Jess Null and Retha Frost. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Bancroft, W. Va.
He was a retired river boat captain with Valley Line with 30 years service out of St Louis, Missouri.
He was also a member of the Minturn Lodge No. 19 AF-AM of Point Pleasant, a member of the Chapter and Commandary of Point Pleasant, a member of the Beni Kedem Shrine of Charleston and the Pat Wilson Shrine of Point Pleasant.
Surviving are his wife Helen Henry Null of Gallipolis Ferry; two daughters, Mrs. David (Carol) West, Glendale, W.Va. and Mrs. James (Karen) L Perdue, Gallipolis Ferry; three sons, William V Null, Kenova, Robert E Null Ceredo, and Edgar Null, Jr., Lexington, Ky.; twelve grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

He was born Dec 18, 1919, in Middleport, Ohio, to the late Orville T and Miriam Roush Ohlinger.
He was the former Chief of Police in New Haven, a member of the St Paul's Lutheran Church, a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Smith-Capehart American Legion Post 140 of New Haven.

Alpha "Coe" Rickard, 87, Route 1, Albany, Ohio, died Tuesday at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio.
Born in Mason County, he was the son of the late Reuben and Artie Hoffman Rickard. He was a retired farmer and a member of Broad Run Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife Lovina Roush Rickard; two sons, Herman E Rickard, San Louis Obispo, Calif.; Reuben D Rickard, Albany, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs Ellen Schmidt, Deleware, Ohio; Mrs Wade "Marie" Jeffers, London, Ohio; two brothers, James and Leonard Rickard, Albany.
Surviving family members also include six sisters, Mary Rickard and Velma Rickard, Albany; Ruby Thomas, Parkersburg; Lucy Thomas, Corneila, Ga.; Mae Howard and Letha Lieving, New Haven; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two nephews, raised in his home, Milton Roush, Syracuse, Ohio, an Dale Roush, Apple Creek, Ohio; and a brother-in-law, also raised in his home, Stanley "Jimmy" Roush, Albany, Ohio.

Born Nov 15, 1890, West Columbia, he was the son of the late Joseph M and Nannie J Mourning Rickard.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Emma Rickard, who died in 1967 and two daughters, Dorothy Rickard and Helen Sunday.
He worked for the New York Central Railroad as a car repairman.
Surviving are one daughter, Emogene Holmes, Corpus Christi, Texas; one son, Harold William Rickard Sr., Clifton; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Born Dec 31, 1892 in Mason County to the late George and Barbara Rickard Bass, she was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Taylor Johnson in 1951, and Elmer Ray Roach in 1963.
Survivors include two nieces, Mildred Neal, West Columbia; Viola Stewart, Hartford; two nephews, Ray Bass, Columbus, Ohio, Jack Lee Bass, Redeing (sic), Calif.; 10 step-grandchildren and several step-greatgrandchildren (sic).

She was born Dec 1, 1900 in Fayette County. She is the daughter of the late John Ord and Minnie Vandal Ord.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant and a member of the Senior Citizens of Fort Randolph. Also a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
Her husband, Wirt E Robbins, preceded her in death in 1972.
Surviving are one son, Angus H Robbins, Point Pleasant; one sister, Mrs Charolette Jones, Akron, Ohio; four brothers, Clarence Ord, Rupert, W.Va., Doyle Ord, Mason, John Alvin Ord and Wilbur Ord, both of Akron, Ohio; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Okla Hemp.

Born Nov 18, 1891, Point Pleasant, she was the daughter of the late James Lincoln and Arabell LeMasters Barnett. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Rodgers, who died in 1954.
She was a retired Mason County schoolteacher and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a past matron of Chapter 75, Order of the Eastern Star and also a member of the Col Charles Lewis NSDAR and West Virginia Education Association.
Surviving are one daughter, Zertha R Johnson, Flushing, New York; one son, Jerry Rodgers Jr., South Charleston; two sisters, Eunice Jividen, Point Pleasant and Esther B Mohl, Phoenix, Az.; four grand children and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home at 2 pm on Monday with Rev Tally Hanna officiating. Burial will be at Suncrest Cemetery. She was a member of the Guiding Star Advent Church.

She was owner and operator of Roney's Food Market in New Haven and a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, New Haven.

She was a member of the Jordan Baptist Church and was a retired Mason County schoolteacher with _8 years of service.
Her husband, Charles Rulen preceded her in death in 1977.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Linda) Raike and Mrs. Carolyn Henson, Gallipolis Ferry; three sons, Harold Rulen, Hurricane, Charles, Chesapeake, Ohio and Sanders, Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs Chloe Freeman, Gallipolis Ferry and Mrs Bonnie Hinnant, Apex, N.C.; _1 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Rev. John Dale Canterberry who died in 1972.

Harmon R Runyon, 66, of New Haven, died this morning in the Holzer Medical Center Hospital.
He was born Sept 26,1915, in Catlettsburg, Ky. to the late Bill and Bess Smith Runyon.
He was a member of the Smith-Capehart American Legion Post 140 of New Haven, he was a WWII Veteran and worked for the Ashland Oil Refinery on the river boats and service station operator.
Surviving are his wife, Merble C Runyon, of New Haven; a step-son, Larry J Parks, of Ravenswood; two half-sisters, Mrs Rosemary Stevens, of Ashland, Ky., and Mrs Billie Jo Delany, of Cleveland, Ohio; three step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Foglesong Funeral Home Friday at 2 pm with the Rev Fred Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirkland Memorial Gardens.
