CUSTER, HEPTINSTALL, STEVENSON -
I am looking for information concerning where Elisha H. Heptinstall was buried. He was in Co. B of the 151st Militia. Family oral history states that he was killed near Princeton. Sorry, I don't have a death year. It obviously would have been between 1861-1865. He moved to Mercer Co. from either Franklin Co or Bedford Co. in Virginia.
His daughter was Fannie Heptinstall Stevenson. She married Thomas George Stevenson 1-14-1875 in Tazewell Co., VA. Fannie was born 12-12-1853 in Mercer County. There is a discrepancy as to her mother's name. I have Rebecca Jane (Custer) Heptinstall. Fannie's marriage license list her parents by initials only: E. & R.S. Heptinstall. Is this indeed the same woman?
Rebecca Heptinstall was in the 1870 Tazewell Co., VA census with small children, (including Fannie), so Elisha's death must have happen before then.

BIRD, CAPERTON, DARNELL, KEATON, MEANS, NEELY, PHILLIPS, ST.CLAIR, WRIGHT -

Their son Charles William the first{of three} had two Daughters: Clara Elizabeth 1852-1938 and Sarah Catherine 1858-? all the Family except Sarah Catherine moved to Wayne County Illinois, where Samuel, Charles's older brother, was living then. Sarah Catherine, who must have been married by then, stayed in West Virginia. As near as I can find She was Known as Kate. I have a copy of a letter written By Josie Bird to Rev. C. N. Means {Charles Nathaniel} Introducing herself as the daughter of Kate Means. Now there where a couple of mistakes but her info on the family was essentially correct. Charles and Samuel's Father was Hugh Means Abt 1770-12-18-1858 and lived in Mercer County Virginia. before it became West Virginia, in the part that is now in Summers county, As near as I can figure, on The Indian Hill as Hugh's will States.
Kate first Married William Bluford St.Clair, and had one daughter Rosetta, then she married William Ferdinand Keaton. and had 4 children. Mazie Ina, Amie J, Goodlow Gooch, and Josie Isabel Keaton, the author of the above cited letter. I'm sure there are descendants still in this area as they where living there in 1966 when the letter was written. They are who I am Trying to contact. Kate's descendants Names include St.Clair, Keaton, Phillips, Neely, Bird, Darnell and possibly Caperton

HONAKER, MILLER, RUNNER -
I am starting a concentrated effort to find where my GGGG Grandfather, Joseph Honaker, is buried. What I know about him is limited, but he was born abt. 1765, died January-14-1803, I have Lebanon , Wythe Co. Va. Here are my notes:
His Will was probated in 1824.
Muster Roll of Captain George Forepaugh`s Fifeld C of the First Class Philadelphia Militia, now in the service of the U.S. command by Col. William Bradford Esq. (name Joseph Honaker, June 25, 1777). From Pa. Archives, 6th series, Vol. 1,31. Vol III p. 1150.>> Philadelphia 1785.
Muster Roll of the 8th Company, Fifth Batallion Philadelphia Militia, commanded by Lt. Col. Thomas Casdarp, Esq. Joseph Honaker.
Joseph was an accomplished Gunsmith of the time. Early models were smooth bored and were gradually replaced by spiral- grooved models. These rifles took about 300 hours to complete, and sold for Ten dollars and thirty three cents and four mills, this according to "The Manufactory of Arms" by Giles Cromwell.
Here are my notes on his brother, Abraham Honaker;
He settled near Page's Meeting House in Pulaski Co. Va.
Abraham was also a famous gun maker of the time.
Abraham died July-26-1869, Bland Co. Va.
Joseph married Mary Louisia (Lovis) Runner, Abt. 1785 Wyth Co. Va. They had 5 children, John, Mary (Polly), Anna M., Margaret Peggy, and Sally Honaker.
Anna M. married Anthony Miller, my line.
My last information was that Joseph lived near Bluefield, I don't know where that is in relation to Lebanon , Wythe Co. Va., so I am starting at Bluefield.
