BARNUM, WEST VIRGINIA

A village, post office and railroad station located on the Potomac River and the Western Maryland Railroad, Elk District, Mineral County.
The name is evidently for President William H. Barnum of the Hoosatonic Railroad, a director in the West Virginia Central.
It was the originial destination of the present Western Maryland Railroad.
