SCHELL, WEST VIRGINIA

A village on the Western Maryland Railroad, in Elk District, Mineral County WV.
The place was probably named for Augustus Schell, who was an important figure in financial as well as political affairs in NY, and agreed to place part of the bonds of the proposed railway (The Western Maryland Railway).
