BEAVER RUN CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN
1877
At the fall council meeting in the year of 1877, the Church concluded to change the church tax. It was considered that all members to pay a capitation tax of not under fifty cents (.50) or over one dollar ($1.00) per member, and further, if that is not a sufficient amount: then to lay a levy on each members property according to their worth as the expenses require.
