First Quarterly council called and
met on Monday 3rd day of March 1884.
Council opened by singing the 253rd hymn, prayer
and reading the 15th chapter of John and some remarks from the same.

To Elect two (2) delegates to District meeting to be held at Sandy Creek congregation on Fri before the 3rd Sunday in April 1884. Brothers Daniel B Arnold and George S Arnold elected as delegates to district meeting. |

Case 2nd |
To make same compensation to Brother Peter Biser for taking care of Sister Polly Prophet while sick at his house. Church decides to pay bro Peter Biser twenty-five ($25) dollars. |

Case 3rd |
Church to consider the allowances to be made to Isaac Poling for
service rendered to Sister Catharine Martin in her afflictions. |

Case 4th |
Church Decides not to send a delegate to annual meeting for 1884. |
|
Case 5th |
Church Decides to submit the exception of the revised minutes of Annual meeting to the delegates of District meeting. |
|
Case 6th |
Church decides that each member shall hand in their tax receipt with their amount, the owe taken from their receipt in the spring of 1885. Also the church decides that each member hand in their receipt every 3 years likewise thereafter. |

Case 7th |
Brother John W Leatherman Reports he collected an forwarded four ($4) dollars to the foreign and domestic mission fund this 1st day of January 1884. |

According to a decision of the 2nd Quarterly council
meeting, On the day of harvest meeting an election is held for to
elect 3 deacons which resulted as follows John Wm Arnold, John W
Leatherman and Mikle Wickert, done this 20nd day of August 1884.

Reading of the minutes of District Meeting held at the Salem Church, Sandy Creek congregation, Preston County West Virginia April 18th 1884. Investigating. |

Case 2nd |
A report in regard to Bro James Whiteman doing wrong in effecting a settlement with James Ludwick. Bro James did wrong in calling James Ludwick a lair, and also in manifesting a spirit for fighting. Bro James acknowledges his wrong and promises to do so no more. |

Decided to elect three Deacons at our coming harvest meeting. |

Decided to hold our next communion meeting October 25th and 26th 1884. |

Installing Sister Lydia B Arnold into the Second degree of the ministry. |

Sister Mariah Shafer and Sister Mary Hull presented their certificate of membership to this church and were received as members. |

Church decides to let Bro Taylor Arnold sell horsefeed, bread, meat, pies, cakes, cheese, apples and peaches at the time of the communion meeting. |

Bro John W Leatherman reports he collected and forwarded $2.25 to the foreign and domestic mission fund 16th day of July 1884. |
