First Quarterly council called and met on Monday the 2nd day of March 1885.
Council opened by singing the 541st hymn, prayer and reading the 3rd chapter of Colossians, and some remarks made from the same.

Case 1st

Church Decides and appoint Bro Hendricks Clark & Bro J W Leatherman as Trustees to act with John W Arnold.

Case 2nd

Church Decides to appoint Bro Isaac R Biser to collect taxes among the members.

Case 3rd

Church Decides to send Bro Daniel B Arnold, Bro Solomon Biser and Bro George S Arnold as substitute as delegates to district meeting.

Case 4th

Bro John W Leatherman Reports he collected and forwarded $5.50 to the foreign and domestic mission fund this 25 day of October 1884.

Case 5th

Church Decides A M Carnell and Polly Ann Clark appointed solicitors for general church erection and missionary work. Solicitors to pay over to Bro John W Leatherman to forward to D L Miller Treasurer.

Case 6th

A report in circulation about Bro Andy Whiteman, church decides to send committee of five (5) Brethren to investigate and settle the matter, Brethren Daniel B Arnold, George S Arnold, John W Arnold, Daniel R Leatherman, A M Carnell to be the committee.

Case 7th

Church Decides to allow Joseph Moyers $9.00 for making fires one year.

Council closed by singing the 114th hymn and prayer.

Council called and met on Monday the 5th day of October 1885.
Council opened by singing the 320th hymn and reading the 6th chapter of Galations and some few remarks from the same.

Case 1st

Brother Richard Leatherman asks for a church certificate. Church decides to give bro Richard a certificate provided he conforms to the order of the church.

Case 2nd

A charge against Bro Edward Bailey from sister Martha & Margaret Biser for contradicting their word and unbecoming conduct at the same time. Church decides that Bro E Bailey did wrong in talking short to, and contradicting sister Martha and Margaret Biser, and requires an acknowledgement of him, and he makes the acknowledgement.

Case 3rd

Church Decides that best not to publish our council meetings in the county News papers. But may publish our commission meetings.

Case 4th

Church decides that the member pay their church tax to the treasurer Benjamin Leatherman.

Council closed by singing the 111th hymn and prayer.
