Ranking foremost is the hardware, stove and tinware store of Siever & Company, located on the south-west corner of Center and * streets. such is the magnitude diversity of the stock carried by * firm that seven large rooms a* *lized. the store proper consists of * two-story connecting buildings *binedly covering a ground space of 10X60 feet. the business was established Jan 1st, 18(?95), and from its initial day has proven eminently successful. the stock embraces heavy and shelf hardware, stoves, tinware, builders' materials, pumps, plows, shovels, forks, rakes, spouting, churns (? next line) *nishes, putty, hollow ware, granite, copper and nickel ware, bicycles, the latter bearing the firm's name and many other lines appertaining to the business engaged in. the arrangement of the stock attests the proprietors intimate knowledge of their business system and order being apparent on every hand. goods are sold wholesale and retail, the house's trade extending far into adjoining counties. C W Siever & co, have on sale bicycles as low in price as $25.00, and they are daisies, too. Low prices are quoted by this firm on all goods, which together with the reliability of their stock and the fair business methods employed by the firm, explains their popularity and the liberal patronage enjoyed in them. The manufacturing department of the house where tinware spouting, guttering and metal work is done, is an important feature of the firm's business. Mr Siever manages the entire business and in all matters pertaining to it keeps fully abreast of the times. Prior to embarking in the present venture, Mr Siever was engaged in contracting and building in Grant and Mineral counties, W Va.
