Will of John Bosley

By the Will of God Amen, Whereas I John Bosly of Hampshire Co. Virginia living in Hampshire Allegheny mountain near the Elk Garden. Farmer: being as I believe of sound mind and memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same, yet calling to mind the mortality of man, and that it is appointed for man to die, I think it proper to settle my estate boath real and personal, do make this my last will and testament, in the manner and form following. First after my just debts are paid, I give and bequeath to Joseph Bosly and his wife Mary all the money that is due me, from the land or estate I sold to John G. Brant and all my household and kitchen furniture, likewise all my stock I know have on hand viz. horses, cows, hogs, sheep and every thing I possess at my decease, and wit of the said Estate I wish Joseph Bosly or his wife Mary to a legacy of one Dollar to my brother William Bosly, and one dollar to my sister Elizabeth, and one dollar to my Sister Mary Roberts, and one dollar to my brother James Bosley, and one dollar to my brother Joseph Bosley, and one dollar to my sister Priscilla Evans and one dollar to my sister Aribell Arnholt after said legacies are paid to heirs I leave the said Joseph Bosly and Mary his wife my sole heirs, signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of us when we witness to said will, given under my hand and seal this twenty second day of June one thousand eight hundred and fifty-two - 1852.
