NANCY HANKS BIRTHPLACE
Nancy Hanks, mother of President Abraham Lincoln was born in 1782 on Joseph and Lucy Hanks' 106 acre farm on Mike's Run. Dr. Barton, famed Lincoln scholar, came to the area in the mid 1920's and located the site of the Hanks' cabin. A memorial marker was erected to commemorate the site, which is located east of the scenic Saddle Mountain.
