I James Whiteman, of Hampshire County West Virginia do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made: And first I direct that my body be decently interred: And to such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows: First, I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible or convenient, out of the first moneys that shall come into the hands of my executrix, from any portion of my estate, real or personal.
And I do hereby make and ordain my esteemed wife my executrix and my will and mind are, that she shall have full and complete power and authority, so long as she may continue my widow - to transact all my business both in real and personal estates as though it were done by my self. In writness whereof, I James Whiteman the testator, have to this my will set my hand and seal this 22 day of April 1872.

In the Clerk's office of the County Court of Hampshire County on the 16 day of August 1878 (the County Court being adjourned). This last will and testament of James Whiteman died was presented to said office proved by the oats of James Ludwick & Silas Izer, subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be recorded.
