SANDERS

I am beginning to trace my family tree. My mother lived in Williamson, W.Va. around sometime between 1920 and 1940. Her name was Mildred Lucille Sanders; mother's name was Lillian Sanders; father's name was Asa Sanders. I would like to know where.

STATEN

I am sure my father, Raymond Oscar Staten, was born in mingo or logan counties about 1900. He left and joined the Army at Fort Sheridan, IL at about age 17. He did spend a year in France during WWI. Later he was a policeman in Evanston, IL. He passed away in 1973, before I wasever aware of the connection of the Staten family name to the Hatfields and the McCoys. I have since found out that Bill Staten was one of the first casualties of the feud, and that Sarah Staten is buried in the Hatfield family plot "TATER PATCH" between Floyd and Ellison (her husband)and they share a common headstone. Does anyone out there have a history of the Staten family line, old family bibles, any information at all that might help me reconstruct the lineage? I know there are a lot of Statens in MAN. Thanks for any help. (937) 435-8207 FAX (937) 435-7435.

NUCKOLLS

Any info on the Nuckolls family that lived in Matewan in the 30's and 40's. My father was Brig. Gen. Geo. Nuckolls. He and his cousin, Admr. Wade Hagerman were both graduates of Matewan H.S. Am particularly interested in any info regarding "Nuckolls Dairy" (milk bottles bearing that name, etc) or any stories or anecdotes. The Nuckolls' also lived in Williamson and Bluefield. Any info will be appreciated.
