MARY ELLEN JUSTICE DUTY
I am looking for any information on Mary Ellen JUSTICE DUTY. I cannot obtain a death certificate on her. The State of West Virginia states they do not have one. Her actual date of death is 16 Mar 1963, Holden, Logan County, WV. She was approx 96 at the time of her death. She is buried in an unmarked grave in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill. She was in a nursing home near Cherry Tree in the late 1950's or early 60's. She operated a boarding house in Matewan during the early 1920's. The only other information I ahve on her is that her mother was a Cherokee Indian and her father was a Scotsman.

May. He lived in McAndrews, Pike County KY. He was a coal miner and was
killed by a fellow worker on or around March 3, 1942 or 1943. I believe he

My grandparents, JOHN and NORA YATES lived in Wayne Co, WVa untill he was shot and killed on 23 Oct 1920. Troops were sent from nearby Fort Sycamore ( 2 miles west of Sprigg) and Capt Milliken and his bloodhouns were sent from Williamson to investigate. The local Sheriff was named Blankenship. I am seeking information on DAN OLAKER(OLDAKER) b. ca 1876 - Putnam Co, WV. M. Viola HATFIELD (in Mingo Co.) 1925. Dan Olaker resided with the CLYDE "SPEED" DOTSON family in the 1940's. Where is DAN buried?
Also, Clyde "Speed" DOTSON was killed in a coal mine accident Nov. 1946 at Glen Alum. Anyone with information on CLYDE DOTSON or DAN OLAKER please contact me.

JOHN LANE
John Lane who died in June 1899 in Gilbert, Mingo Co., WV was buried in a
cemetery where his son, Fred Lane, aged about 6 years old could hear a
train whistle. I note that Trent Cemetery is in this location. Is there
any other cemetery that this could be. Does anyone have any additional
information regarding burials in this cemetery other that thos published on
this page. John was a resident of the Gilbert area, having purchased land
on the Orchard Branch of the Guyan River in 1898 from Levi and Venila
